dam, arizona, page

once upon a time me and a few select roommates [sherry, jade, becky] and brant. made our way trippin on the road down to little page airzona. we made our way down on friday afternoon, and well it is a very scenic drive...sorta except it was in the dark so i honestly don't know. when we got to page we went to beckys house got some pizza and breadsticks of course for me :] cause im a pizza hater. then we watched the last song and all of us cried. after the movie we played twister and i dominated i think....haha and we played lego creator.we had a slumber party in beckys living room,, it was a pretty fun night. the next morning we woke up took forever to get ready,, haha anyway we headed up to horseshoe bend and it was super cool. apparently i am an idiot for hanging off the edge well just with my feet but hey,,, i like living on the edge hehe it was so fun and we stayed there for about an hour. after we left there we went and ate a little place called slackers and the food was quite delicious but a little pricey after we went to a little fair type thing called the balloon regatta they just had a bunch of little booths for random stuff. ill explain it more later. but after that we went to another look out and you could see the dam,, dont worry we made plenty of "dam" jokes such as dam lights, dam workers, we took dam pictures,, and there were tours of dam aka dam tours :] after we went to the lookout we actually went to the dam and it was fun and we took some pretty cool roomie pictures. after we went to the dam we went over to lake powell walked down to the water touched it played in the sand a little wrote some secret messages ;] and then walked back it was pretty epic.  after....we headed back to the balloon regatta where basically they get like 20-30 HOT AIR BALLOONS and blow them up in the street and they light them and it looks freaking amazing! they gave out these little cards that were just like baseball cards but they had the balloons on them..they were supposed to be for little kids but hey i think i still count i got a few and i feel pretty awesome. we even got to push the button for one of the balloons it was awesome. i'm really glad i went and got a little break from college aka cedar city & campus housing. it was getting a little depressing! so thanks becky for a great weekend i loved it! the end enjoy the pics :]

halloween,,november,,next semester schedule

this past weekend was of course halloween weekend, on friday for my popular music class there was a costume contest and i dressed up as a fairy,, one of my many halloween costumes of this year. i got full credit for my costume,, partly cause we had to do an action to go with ours and i flew around the stage, died, and then got clapped back to life..it was an epic performance. lets just say i felt completely ridiculous! anyway after class we went back to appartment and hung out until that night when the institute trunk or treat and dance was. of course i needed a new costume for that night so i was a rockstar,, complete with a guitar hero guitar. we were the coolest kids there obviously, we had a fairy [jade],, a hippie [tstar],, a biker [becky],, and a couple of fat tourists [nia&tylerhoward] oh ya and me,,. we danced all night and it was a blast. the next day we woke up late but hey it was saturday,, so we just kinda bummed around all day i make a paper chain counting down till my birthday,, which is in june,, haha its about 10 lengths of jade long :] it makes me pretty happy,, everyday i rip off the piece and write what i did that day,, its pretty cool. after i finally finished my super long chain i watched a marathon of the show NCIS and it was the horror ones, which was not exactly the greatest idea to watch,, because one i was in the apartment by myself, two it was dark and halloween weekend, and three i'm kind of a whimp. but i didnt die or get eaten or attacked by any scary things so that is always good. the next day we woke up about 20 minutes before we needed to leave for church to see our awesome roommate [nia] speak in sacrament meeting. she did a great job and church was just all around great. my ward is pretty great. after church we watched cheesy halloween disney movies, it was wonderful. sunday was a pretty good day. this week has definitely had its ups and downs,, ive had tests and the apartment has been a mess,, i felt sick for a day and missed all of my class,, and the registration for classes next semester has started,, its been stressful and basically me and jade are pretty home sick. its not helping that i cant talk to my boy [garrett howard] very much but this week can only get better right? i really hope it does cause c103d [jade&i] definitely needs some cheering up. anywayy a few of us roomies are going to the grand town of page arizona with ze becky cause that is where she is from. im pretty excited about it and it should be a good break from the stresses of school and life! thats all for now!

i went home again this is weekend. i went to a great halloween party that was put on by my wonderful friend [dakota taylor] who happens to be leaving on his mission on wednesday, the 27th. it was a blast me and garrett dressed up as a boy scout[me] and a butterfly[garrett] i had a butterfly badge and a butterfly net,, and he was what i was catching. it was a great night of games and ended with {i am legend}.

the next day i went over to garretts house and we played mario party and i was of course yoshi,, but sadly i totally lost the game this time..pretty sure garrett was cheating! but it was still a blast, after we finished our game we went on a quest to find {robin hood} in a red box so we could watch it and sadly after going to three stores and looking through six red boxes we gave up and ended up watching clash of the titans instead. it was really good but i may have drifted off just a little bit a few times. :] even though garrett thought i didn't watch any of the movie i was totally watching and hardly slept through any of it! after we finished the movie we headed up to west jordan to go on a double date with my sister and her husband[annie&tim]. even though i have been to my sisters house which used to be my grandpas house about a million times,, well lets just say we got a little lost. but when we finally got there we went to dinner at wingers,, at wingers we waited to get seated for about 15-20 minutes which isnt too bad,, but when we got seated our waiter forgot about us or something, so we were sitting in our booth for a while till we decided to flag someone down cause we were really really hungry. luckily since we had to wait so long we got free appitizers and dessert. it was lovely. i love wingers i got blackend chicken alfredo and it was delicious as always,, after we had all finished eating our delicious food. we went to a comedy club in midvale and watched the [quickwits]do their comedy improv. it was halarious and i couldnt stop laughing, between the intestine jump rope and the texting bobsled team,, it was just the greatest night i have had in a while.. i loved it so much, it was basically a perferct weekend,, and sorry to say it cedar but i'm sad i'm coming back down.

college education.

so i am a history major and so of course i'm taking classes that would go along with my major. so today on this fine tuesday i had american civilizations, sociology, and western civilizations. this is how my day went,,, in western civilizations we were basically taught that women were according to charlemange like unto a sack of dung....and also that women are sex crazy maniacs. that was interesting class...moving on to sociology we were learning about economics and how basically the social economic class you are in is the one you will be in for the rest of your life. you have no hope in life. after about the first 25 minutes i zoned out along with the rest of the class and stared at the wall for the rest of the time. i got a whole lot out of that class. then on to american civilizations where we learned,,,,well at least i think we learned about the french revolution[french in american history...ya i'm confused too] and also the whiskey rebellion...but thats ill i know because of course i have the movie UP on my laptop and that is just wayyy more interesting than american history. i learn a lot in college...it does great things to us...

the weekend.

Once upon a time I drove 200 miles north to see my lovely boyfriend and family and some friends. I went home this past weekend to the great highland utah. Its a pretty fun place but i spent most of my time in provo. Thursday night i went straight to garrett's dad's house and we went to ripples, a little drivein less than a mile away from the house. We got yummy fries and shakes and about froze to death.[well that was just me]. We decorated cupcakes to look like sheep and little pigs with his little sisters and mine looked better then garretts of course :] Then when the little girls{molly&megan} went to bed me and garretts sister bailey convinced him to watch the last song with us. He hated it of course but hey he's a boy he has no taste in a good chickflick. The next day [friday] i saw my sister melissas brand new baby boy {stockton ryan gillings} he is absolutely adorable. He is so tiny and has the cutest black shiny hair, he plays with his tounge and just looks around. We went to walmart and i played with her kids for a while. Later i went to visit garrett at tacotime and stayed there for a while. because it was quite dead and he got off a little after i got there. We went to [chuck e cheese] with his little sisters and we played the games, and lost like we always do. but that was a blast. We got back to his dads in provo and ate dinner and went to a wedding reception,, i wore one of baileys dresses and his cousin hugged me not bailey..i think she was a little confused. but hey a lot of random people come to weddings she was probably a little tired! We went back to his house and just hung out all night. On [saturday] i went grocery shopping with my mother and bought me wayy to much food. but now i don't have to pay for it which is always a plus..because i'm a poor college student. we went to walmart later and all over the place. we watched letters to juliet and then garrett got off work so we watched how to train your dragon which was super cute. [Sunday] was dakotas farewell and he did great with his about 8 minute long talk...even though he said he knew the {church is true} about 5 times in the last minute it was a great talk and he's going to be a great missionary! After the farewell we went to dakotas and ate some food and got in a whip cream fight. After we left dakotas we ate dinner at my house and jumped on the tramp with my neices and nephews,, they are still as cute as ever and now {kaylin} can walk! it was a way fun night. after dinner at my house me and garrett made our way back to his moms house and helped out with scentsy samples and watched prince of persia. it was a great end to the weekend :]

blogging.

Once upon a time I decided that I would make a blog about my life because updating my Facebook status as often as something exciting in my life happend everyone would probably hate me. And hey, blogging is all the new rage right?
Well to start off I am currently a student at the great institution of learning called Southern Utah University. Currently I am a history major but honestly that will probably be changing soon, I am a college freshman though and changing our major is the thing we do best! I have a great roommate....her name is JADE RUTH (WOLVEN GLOVE) JOHNSON and I just love her to death she is well, my besite. We party a lot, never sleep, and give the most amazing awkward hugs you could ever imagine. We really never go to bed before one in the morning, and we talk way to much but hey we have fun.Late at night we make nachos and go on walks and just play on facebook trying to think of any reason not to sleep at a reasonable hour. Usually when we are about ready to go to be we start chatting about something and then jade comes and sits/lays on my bed and we end up talking for hours. I love her to death, she keeps me alive down here at college.We share a room and usually we keep it pretty clean my bed is up high and hers is down low on the other side of the room. Sometimes we call and videochat with our men and, butt into eachothers conversations. We have silly string fights and do our laundry at midnight, she wakes me up from my naps and makes me do things that are actually semi productive, we go on drives and find the great places of cedar city, like the make out spot and all sorts of fun things, we drive on the wrong side of the road and almost die in the dark. Jade and I have great adventrues and I'm sure there are many many many more on the way
We have other roommates they are pretty nice and fun. Their names are becky, nia, tiara, and sherry(jailu xu) and i just love them. We have adventures like play guitar hero, get freal shakes, play in the rain, check our mail at midnight, we walk around with no shoes like hobos, ride beckys scooter around the building, go on crazy adventures up the canyon, feng shui peoples apartments, cry during law&order, make last minute artic circle runs, make music videos, color, have knock codes, don't do our homework, play clue like there is no tomorrow, have insane fish that eat rocks, watch say yes to the dress like none other, TLC is about the only channel we watch, we have fun always and, basically we are FREAKS FROM ANOTHER PLANET(it even says so on our door).
